Dr. Mateja Ristić is a polymedia artist, Red Dot Best of the Best Award winner for Concept Design (2025), and associate professor of art. His artistic practice spans fine art, video, theatre, and performance, driven by investigations into form, context, and perception.

He earned his Ph.D. in Polymedia Art at the University of Arts in Belgrade, within a joint supervision program with University College Cork (Ireland) and Birmingham City University (UK). He holds a background in painting and printmaking from the Academy of Art in Novi Sad.

He teaches at international institutions, integrating academic research with creative practice. His artistic projects have been developed across Europe and Asia for nearly two decades.

He is currently living and working in Shanghai.
