The Ordinary
Concept
2021/ongoing
“The Ordinary” is a long-term polymedia research and artistic project exploring the meaning, perception, and socio-emotional implications of the ordinary in today’s hypermediated, accelerated world. Spanning five years, it investigates how notions of normalcy, balance, influence, and artistic legitimacy are shaped by digital saturation, social performativity, and cultural instability.
Examining the human condition as it becomes increasingly intertwined with rapid and unrelenting technological progress, the project integrates diverse approaches to explore shifts in daily routines and rituals in response to new forms of information, often discursively condensed, highly emotive, and delivered in short, impactful bursts. Within this framework, it also reflects on the interior, private dimensions of everyday life as they unfold in parallel to these external changes.
